FAQ Roller Blinds

If your chain has come off the mechanism or is jammed, it can often be re-aligned by gently accessing the control head at the top of the blind. However, if the internal plastic gears have worn down or the chain is broken, it may require a replacement control unit. We recommend having a professional inspect it, as improper handling can damage the tension mechanism.

To clean the fabric, use a soft, dry microfiber cloth or a vacuum cleaner with a low-suction upholstery attachment to remove surface dust. For spot cleaning, use a very lightly dampened cloth with a mild detergent—but never soak the fabric, as this can ruin the stiffening agent. To clean the "blind roller" (the tube itself), ensure it is fully extended so you can wipe away any dust accumulation that may have gathered on the tube over time.

While many DIY videos suggest cutting the fabric and the bottom rail yourself, we strongly advise against this. Roller blinds are manufactured to specific widths and tensions. Cutting the fabric can lead to fraying, and if the tube is not cut perfectly square, the blind will "telescope" (roll up unevenly), eventually causing it to fall or jam. Our bespoke service ensures your blinds are factory-cut to your window size, guaranteeing a perfect, straight roll.
